October Knitting Addiction

Knitting Frenzies

This October promises a busy month ahead in the knitting world and as Christmas is ever more present we focus on what will keep you warm and occupied in the run up towards the winter months.

National Knitting Week

In honour of National Knitting Week the are hosting a series of free tutorials and workshops to celebrate the art of all things knitting.

Saturday October 1st sees the first of these first free workshops with a knitting session starting at 1pm. This will be continued from the 13th of October until the 15th with three knitting and crochet sessions from 1pm-2pm each day.

The workshops will cover the basics techniques and skills needed for knitting and crochet. The sessions are ideal for beginners or people interested in refreshing their skills. The sessions will have all materials provided and students will be able to take home their project to pursue in their own time.
For more information and details please visit the website - click here .

Felting for Beginners
This October the have arranged fantastic felting workshops. Saturday 15th of October 3pm, this felting workshop will be available for candidates of all skill and ages. In this workshop candidates will learn how to use the wet felting technique and how to work with merino wool tops. All materials will be provided and students can continue their work in their own time with the skills they have learnt and applied.

Make sure to book your place in advance either online , using the self check-out option, in person at the Lee Green boutique or over the phone (UK) 020 8144 4523.

Knitting and Crochet
We have an array of knitting and crochet two hour workshops on offer this month. Each Friday and Saturday from 11am until 1pm we are teaching various knitting or crochet techniques to everyone from beginners to people want to refresh their skills to candidates with a good basic skill base.

All materials are provided as well as friendly teaching within a small class so as much attention as possible can be applied to each student.

Knitting workshops are priced at £12 each and crochet workshops are £15. These workshops are popular so advanced booking is advised, again this can be done through the website, in person at the boutique or over the phone.

Lacet Wrist Warmer
This warm and cosy wrist warmer pattern has recently been featured in Knitting Magazine. We love this pattern and wrist warmers are an ideal gift or the perfect project for oneself. We have used a deep crimson red mulberry silk/merino wool for this pattern

The warm colour and soft silk wool is perfect for these wrist warmers. The pattern itself is now available ton buy online on the site and we recommend the mulberry silk / merino wool yarn collection for use with this pattern. The techniques are simple for this pattern so have a try and keep those hands warm throughout the winter!
